Greenwich - Sunday 11/11/07

I'm really sorry I haven't updated my blog or replied to any comments in the last week. My mummy has been off work sick. She came in from work on Tuesday and went straight to bed, without making us any chocolate drink. I asked daddy when he came in what was wrong with her and he said she had flu. I said she didn't fly she took the train and he laughed. After a few days in bed with my brothers and sisters looking after her, mummy is feeling better now.

Last Sunday after my visit to my relatives at the Museum, mummy and daddy came with me to Greenwich to see the sights. I had a lovely Sunday lunch in a Wetherspoons pub. It was roast chicken with vegetables. I only like peas and carrots not cauliflower or cabbage, YUCK. I had an angel cake from Greenwich market as my dessert, YUMMY.

I also got to ride on a Docklands train which was scary at first because we sat at the front of the train and I thought we had to drive everyone!! Daddy then said the train is automatically driven so we were ok. It didn't go too fast and was a lovely ride to Greenwich.

Visiting Cousins and Brothers at the Museum of Childhood - Sunday 11/11/07

Yesterday I decided to go and visit some long lost cousins and brothers of mine that I hadn't seen for a very long time. They live in a big museum in Bethnal Green. There's different bears of all kinds of shapes and sizes. The only sad thing is I couldn't touch my cousins because they're behind glass but because they have to be looked at by everybody I suppose it's ok but I wouldn't want to be behind glass and never be cuddled - would you??

These are some of my cousins who are much much order than me. They were born around 1915. Sad really to think they'll spend the rest of their lives behind glass with no cuddles from little children or mummies and daddies.

Here is a bear you should all know from the tv called Superted!! I wonder where Spotty was? Perhaps he is hiding in the red train behind me??

Here are some of my cousins I saw. They are all lovely British bears.

These are my long lost Deans ragbook brothers. I was sooo sad to leave them behind but I promised I'd visit them again soon.

There lots of other things for a teddy bear to do at the Museum of Childhood including playing on a ride...

Looking at some model trains...

Driving a fire truck...

And being a builder...

And afterwards I then went on the Docklands Light Railway for the first time and had a train ride to Greenwich....but you'll have to come back and read my blog tomorrow to find out what I did...

My Day at Work - Thursday 8 November

Hi all.

I went on an unexpected adventure today.
Mummy wanted to take some pictures of the Christmas decorations around Covent Garden. So she took my travel bag to keep the camera safe. I went and snuck in when she wasn't looking. Well she was taking my bag and her camera, I thought I was going on an unexpected day out, My kitten Kassie decided to come along too. I waved at Daddy when we left (he leaves later in the morning than mummy) he winked at me and put his finger to his lips.

Mummy got on the tube to go to work this morning, it was so hot I felt like I was being cooked. There were more people in the carriage than I had ever seen in my life. Its really not a good thing for a small bear to travel on the underground in rush hour. I don't recommend it at all.

When Mummy got to work she looked in her bag and saw me, she was cross for a few moments and then she laughed. I met a few of Mummy's friends, a lovely lady called Iyabodaisy who made a fuss of me and you all know how much I love being fussed. I met another friend called Matilda, she was really lovely. Mummy's boss lady was very sweet and fussed me and brought me some chocolate.

Then at lunch time Mummy took me to Covent Garden and we had lunch in a posh restaurant.

Then for dessert we had a cookie at Ben's Cookie Shop I had a hunny one and Mummy had a chocolate one. You simple have to go there if your ever in London.

We went to a toyshop and I saw a lovely warm fire and thought it would be warm but was very disappointed when it was only painted on.

Before we went back to mummy's office, we stopped at the London Transport Shop and brought my daddy a Thomas The Tank Engine badge Back at work, I helped mummy with her work until it was home time. I said good bye to my new friends and came home.

Bye for now

Arthur

My Brothers and Sisters Tuesday 6 November

Hi again its me Arthur. I was thinking today that I keep talking about my brothers and sisters but i've never really introduced them to you all. I have so many brothers and sisters that If I was to introduce you to them all I would be here for hours, so I have decided to introduce you to a few at a time.

This is my biggest brother both in size and age Coco.
Coco is a Panda. Mummy has had him since she was 7 years old, she is much older now but she wont tell me just how old. He came from a church fate, he looked at Mummy as a little girl and decided that she was going to be his Mummy for ever.

This is my best sister Ellie. She is a funny little girl a little older than me, but in my opinion a lot sillier. She is so Mardy and Spoilt. Her favourite question is can I ask two question, she asks it daddy all the time and its usually just a silly question like can I have a hug. She adores Movies mostly cartoons and Music her favourite band is Take That, I think that is so silly and girly. She loves the old fashioned Childrens TV programmes like Bagpuss and she steals the computer from me to watch them on Utube. My Ellie loves Cricket, she watches daddy play in the summer and adores to watch Essex play Cricket her favourite player is Ryan ten Doeschate because she thinks he has a nice bum. Girls I don't understand them.

My little sister Treasure

Treasure is the perfect little sister. I think she looks up to me and likes to follow me around everywhere. The other day I went to play trains in the Bedroom when the others where watching a DVD and two minutes later in comes Treasure, its really sweet because she doesnt even like trains. She simply loves hunny and will do anything for Chocolate.

My Cricket Mad brother Tendo

Tendo is Cricket mad. He is a top order batsman and he bowls really well. He plays for Essex teddy bear team, he may even play for England Teddy Bear team one day. I wish was better at cricket but im not much more than a mid order batsman and seldon bowler, but a leg spinner when I do. Tendo says he will coach me one day and let me practise with him and the teddy bear Essex team.

Thats enough of my brothers and sisters today, i'll introduce some more soon.

See you soon

Arthur

Choo Choo on The Ruislip Lido Railway - Sunday 04/11/07

Hey it's me the train driver!! Hop on board!

Hello!! It's Arthur again! Today I went for an adventure on a diesel powered train! Firstly though, mummy and daddy took me to a bear boutique in Covent Garden to buy me some more new clothes after my trousers the other day. Mummy let me choose a pair of jeans, a jacket to keep me warm and a t-shirt with a picture of a bear on it! After that, we went directly to the train ride on the Ruislip Lido Railway in North London, which is a lovely little miniature railway. I'd never been to North London before or on a diesel or steam train so it was very exciting. Once again I met some new friends, especially one little boy who was very nice who I'd been on a train ride with and when I was tucked away in my travel bag waiting for a bus back to Ruislip station he asked where I was - so I jumped out of the bag and he was very happy to see me! They were very kind at the railway and they even let me drive the train!! I could also drive a beach buggy which was on the sandy beach next to a big lake where many children and their mummies and daddies were playing on a nice sunny day. The lake also had some swans and one tried to chase me on the beach but I managed to get away in the buggy!! heeee Please take a look at my piccies below as I have to go to bed now as verrrrrrry tired (yawwwwwn) after a nice adventure. Night night. x

Halloween - Wednesday 31/10/07

Hi! It was Halloween last night. My friend Bertie was having a party and my sister Ellie and I were invited. We planned our costumes a week or so ago - I love Wizards and magic so I decided to go as Merlin the Wizard. My mummy made my costume from some curtains my great auntie gave her. My sister Ellie wanted to go as a witch so mummy made her a costume from an old dress. We were so excited at school we couldn't concentrate! When mummy came home from work, she dressed us up and took us to Berties house. We had lots of really nice snacks, like cheeeeeesy vampire bats, honey wizard wands and little tiny sausages shaped like scary fingers....but they tasted really nice! We danced to our favourite song which goes 'What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster, is it a monster?'! heee At 8 o'clock, daddy came to take us home and we were sooooo tired that we went straight to beddies but not before I'd ate some of my treats....I had THREE honey flavoured bamboo biscuits....greedy but YUMMMM!

Here are some piccies for you to look at of us having fun!

Click here to watch the video of the song we were dancing too!

Washing Day - Monday 29/10/07

Mummy had lots of washing in the washing basket and she said she couldn't do it all because she was busy at work and looking after me, my brothers and sisters and my daddy, so one day when she was at work my sister Treasure and I decided to help mummy and do some washing. We had good fun and slept in the basket whist the clothes were being washed!! We then put them in dryer so they were all smelling nice.

But when we put all the clothes in the dryer we tripped on the basket and the basket fell on top of us and we were trapped and scared....

until our BIG brother Coco came home from teddy bear school and saved us so when mummy and daddy came home from work they didn't know we had an accident and gave us all honey and bamboo biccies as a reward!! YUMMMMM!!

My trip to see Henry Moore Sculptures @ Kew Gardens - Sat 27/10/07

I got up early on Saturday because mummy and daddy said they were going to take me out. I was really excited because daddy said I get to go Undergound, so I dressed myself in my little jumper and I was ready for a little adventure. Mummy kept me nice and safe in my travel bag (it has Eeyore on it - it's my favourite!)

We got to the Underground station and I was confused because I thought we were going underground and not on a choo choo train! We got off at Stratford and got another train which wasn't under the ground all the way to Kew and I could see some lovely sights including the Olympic village being built and a really large hanging basket at Wembley which must take so much water!

When we got to Kew, mummy and daddy let me get out of my bag and run around and climb up the lovely Moore sculptures!! I had so much fun and met lots of lovely people and made new friends including a little boy who shouted "Grandad, this is the right one....but there's a teddy bear in it!" when I was hiding in one of the sculptures!! heeee

Then it started to rain a little so mummy and daddy took me to the Orangery and we had yummy cream scone and hunny cake but no bamboo biccies with honey which made me a little sad :-(

But then it stopped raining and I was happy again as I got to climb on some more sculptures but I had to make sure mummy put down my plastic bag so I didn't get my little bottom wet.

I had a really good day with lots of adventures and hope to go on another trip next weekend....

Here are some piccies from my day out, hope you all like them!
